Art Deco Ladies

Firstly- sorry that I've been missing for a few weeks. Martin and I were in Tenerife visiting mum and dad for a week and since we got back I've been working on the table plan for my brother's wedding!Had a bit of a nightmare with it yesterday- the map we'd bought for the middle of it arrived and it was much bigger than the size the website had stated it was. As a result, it didn't fit- it was about 10cm too big. However, i had a plan B which I've managed to pull off rather successfully today! (you'll get to see it once it's all done!)

However, I've also managed to get a few cards made in amongst all this, so here they are:

I bought the black and white aperture decoupage in a little craft shop in Los Cristianos. The second one is made from an extra-large decoupage card kit and is for Martin's parents wedding anniversary- it's just smaller than A3 size. The third card is one I promised to show a few weeks ago, having made a similar one from the other half of the kanban sheet.

Thanks for looking!

Hobbycraft fair purchases and makes

As most of you know this weekend was the Hobbycraft fair at the SECC in Glasgow. Martin’s mum and I went along on saturday and had a great day- we were preparing ourselves for a manic day, but it was way quieter than expected. It was still busy obviously, but nowhere near as insane as it was the last time we went on a Saturday.

Anyway, here is a picture of all the fab things I bought and 6 cards I’ve made this weekend with some of my new buys!

I bought a ton of stuff- the picture isn’t that great a quality so here’s a break down- 7 sheets of kanban decoupage + words, 3 sheets of kanban sticky ribbon greetings, a pack of silver letter peel offs with loads of each letter (rather than the usual packs that have just 2 letter Y), two packs of stick on gems, a pack of assorted miri card, 4 packs of brads, card candy, a round punch, 5 ribbon reels, 2 bottles of stickles, a pink ink pad, a rubber mat for my cuttlebug, a pack of promarkers, double sided pads and rolls of tape, 5 packs of 100 sheets of pearlescent paper in 5 colours (this was a great buy- marilyn and I went halfers on this), a wildrose stamp, a Whiff of Joy City Girls stamp, 5 little flower stamps, cherry blossom stamp and ‘live well, laugh often, love much’ stamps and a black sakura glaze pen. There were sooooooooooooo many good bargains and this will keep me going for quite some time!

The 6 cards attached use a lot of the new stuff + a few odds and ends from the stash grin

Thanks for looking!

A couple of Kanban and some LMC cards

These first two cards were super fast to make- they are two kanban decoupage sheets that I have had kicking around for ages waiting to be used. All they needed was putting together with some pads and a bit of ribbon on the blue one around the waist to hold the tag on.

This next one is from the LMC Paddington Bear kit. I know it has nothing to do with PB, but it's the only one I felt inspired to make with this kit. I've passed the rest on to one of the girls on the CB forum.
The remainder of these are from the current LMC kit- I'm so pleased they have a normal theme this month, rather than the character packs of late. I really like how these have turned out.
