Mum's Recipe Box

I’ve posted photos of two other recipes boxes I’m made- one for myself and one for Martin’s mum. This is the final one, which is for my mum. It is her mothers day present and i’ve had the outside done for months, but still had the finishing touches to do. There was no rush with it, because she has to wait until we got out to visit them in a months time ( they live abroad and sending a recipe box via the post is not the best idea!)

Martin's Mother's Day Present

The first of the two recipe boxes I've been working on over the past two weeks. I couldnt show this until Mother's Day, though as we didn't want to spoil it. There will be a third to show eventually as well- watch this space!


The boxes are by creative imaginations- 'sam' recipe box, which I bought from scrapbook.com The papers, cooking quotes stickers and secret recipe stamp also came from there. The tilda images, stamps, stickers, ribbons, flowers, brads etc came from the stash I already have from various sources, including blog candy, competitions wins and personal shopping expolits!

I've had a lot of fun doing these and look fwd to sharing future versions and other altered art!

My recipe box

I've been working on this for the last week or so- hence the relatively quiet blog! It has taken a lot of time and effort, but I am so pleased with how it has turned out! The outside is covered in this gorgeous hearts paper and some cooking quotes, along with a tild and edwin who are meant to be me and Martin.

Inside each of the dividers has an image somehow linked in with the type of recipes on the cards behind (some of these links are pretty loose- like the tilda with hearts on the appetisers divider Lol)

Each recipe card has the list of ingredients on the front and the method on the back. I've typed up some of our favourite recipes and a few new ones too and plan to add more as times passes. They are all decorated differently with beads, images, ribbons, flowers, buttons etc!
