More Christmas...

I can’t quite believe I’m making Christmas cards in the summer, but I appear to be on a bit of a roll. One more embossed tree, in blue this time, and there will be some green ones to share soon as I bought more core-dinations cardstock last night, in green this time!!

I’ve also been playing with some of the black card that has a pink core and made this little card with a swirly pattern frame, with a wee embellishment in the middle that was a RAK from someone on here- can’t remember who- sorry and thanks! It still needs a sentiment, but thought i’d show what the card is like when sanded down.

The other one is a quick decoupage that was made as a wee extra at card class last night, as I got through the other 3 pretty quickly.

Christmas in July

I’ve also managed to make 3 very simply Christmas cards this evening.

The tree is embossed using a papermania stencil, which I bought earlier in the week. It’s embossed on core-dinations cardstock, which i’ve sanded down to reveal the core colour which is slightly paler than the outer colour and, therefore, highlights the design.

Cards made to fend off Inspection stress...

I've only had a chance to make 3 cards this week, due to the HMIe inspection keeping me even busier than usual. More to follow...

The bottom card is a little cross stich I picked up in Hobbycraft for 99p

The top two pictures are one of my favourite Christmas cards- i saw this design at the Hobbycraft fair in Glasgow a few weeks back. They were selling a pack of 5 cards with this shape cut out for about £4. I, however, have just taken some normal white card, drawn out the traingle shape and lines, then used a craft knife to cut alternate lines down the sides. I then decorated with a number of different glitzy papers.

I absolutely LOVE the fairy card design and plan to make a few more of these with different coloured paper before Christmas!
