Joy fold card and a penny black

Two cards made tonight while watching Waterloo Road and The Apprentice. I've decided that I too am a rough, tough, cream puff, even though I'm not from New York (if you haven't seen the latter programme, ignore this, i am not mental!) :-)

The first card is a joy fold card- came across this idea recently and had to try it- not sure these papers work together, but I like the overall idea. The 2nd card is a simple thank you, using a penny black image.

Happy Birthday to 'Moo'

So, turns out my post man managed to delivery the cow goodies to the street next to mine- despite the address being crystal clear! Thankfully the guy who they were sent to was decent enough to bring them round to me today- phew!

Since my friend Jan missed out on her cow card last night (she loved the phone card, so it really isn't an issue) I've made one today that I'll give her at work tomorrow- better late than never! I've used eyelets for the first time, but not amused by the effort of hammering them in- may need to invest in a proper setting tool.

Thank You Cards

Got back from Tenerife last night. Dad is doing amaizingly well- got home from the hospital just 4 days after the op and, while he needs to take it easy, he's itching to get back to normality! Still waiting for pathology results and the like and the recovery process is still a long-ish one, but he's getting there and looking so well! Good old dad!

I've made these two cards today to send to two of my three best friends (I already had one made for the 3rd!) to say thanks for all their love and support over the past few months!
