Martin's Birthday Card (& a late Father's Day card)

Martin's mum and dad were on holiday last weekend, so we didn't get to see them until this weekend to celebrate Father's Day. David loves cruises, so that's the theme I went with this year. It's a simple kanban decoupage sheet, blinged up with some lovely embellishments.

The other card is for Martin's birthday, which is this coming Tuesday. The two images are stamps by The Greeting Farm.

Bird House Card- Father's Day

I've made this card/box for Martin's dad for Father's Day. He loves his real live blue bird box in the garden and delights in the fact that some little birds seem to have made it their home for the last few years! When I saw this on the CB forum, made by ChrissyAnn, I knew it would be perfect for his card! Chrissyann found the template on Nicole's blog and you can find it http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2009/05/introducing-bird-watching-additions.html

Thank you for the inspiration ladies and also for the wonderful template! This is so easy to make and looks great!

Father's Day Card and Fat Page

This is my card for my dad for father's day! It's supposed to be a tv set with the Hearts v Hibs game going on! As you can see the result went our way :-)This is the front and then the back of my Fat Page for this month's swap which i am hosting. The winning theme was hearts/love/romance- can you tell?! I was so excited that won the poll and love doing this!

Father's Day Present

I know it's two months until Father's Day, but I have been working on this over the past few days while I've been on holiday from work as the next month or so is going to be pretty busy with exams and so on! It's a Bo Bunny chipboard book from Cratsulove, decorated with a whole host of ribbons, brads, flowers, bobble chain, eyelets, stickers, patterned papers and photos of my family!

What a great day...

The sun is shining and I've had two wonderful pieces of news today!

Firstly- I won Heather's candy- a lovely tilda stamp!! So excited! She has a great blog, which you can check out here: http://enchantedstamping.blogspot.com/

Secondly- I am going to have a card and story featured in Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine, on sale 12th May. It's part of their Father's Day special and the card is the one I made for my dad when he was having his cancer op in February. Originally it was going to be one of their mini tales and I was set to get a £15 prize. I received a call though to say they want to make it a 2 page special and I will get a £100 crafty prize!! WOW!!

I've also made my first ever ATC- it was for the recent ATC draw on the CB forum. The winner this month was Vicki and the theme 'cakes'.
