New Baby & Engagement

Last night we discovered that our friends Derek and Lynsey got engaged on Friday. So this first card is for them to say congrats! I love the easel style at the moment and think it works really well with this wee creations decoupage- a bit different and fab, without being overly fussy!

The second card is for my friend and work colleague, Emma, who has just announced her second pregnancy. We don't know what she is having yet, so I used both boy and girl colours.

Reece Gibson

My cousin Sarah had a baby boy on Thursday 12th February- 12 days late- Reece Gibson, 7lb, 14 oz!!

I've sorted a present from me, my brother, mum and dad to be sent from http://www.babygiftgallery.co.uk/ They have the most adorable keepsake boxes that you can personalise and fill with various items- so cute!

I've also made the following cards- the yellow one I'd made yonks ago but not had a use for- I've changed a few bits and it's going from mum and dad. The one from me and Martin is the tilda one. The patterned paper is from papercraft inspirations current magazine and the dark blue is card from the set of free things that I arrived yesterday (great timing) as my subs gift for the same magazine. The ribbon also came from that freebie and the flowers +brads are from Debby's blog candy win.

I bought this handmade by stamp just a few weeks ago and have placed it on the back of both!

Congrats Sarah and Wayne; welcome to the family baby Reese!!

Another few of my early cards

These are a few designs I made for a couple of different occasions:

The first is a simple birthday card design. I produced one of these from the first LMC magazine i bought in the summer and this is another I made a while later using some other materials I already had. The following are two cards Iput together before my friends Emma and Phil had their first child in September. Baby Bronwyn received the second card and the first is waiting for such a time as someone has a baby boy!

This is a card I made for a guy i live with during university, who recently got engaged! It's a variation on the card I made from the papercraft magazine. I haven't actually heard from him since I sent it though- so either he doesnt like it, he didnt receive it, or he's just being a typical bloke... :-)

This is a gift I made for a friend's wedding/civil partnership- I love the way it has turned out and so did they!!
